The Dewey Radius phaco tips were designed from the inspiration of Steve Dewey MD. Dr. Dewey’s idea was to increase the safety of phaco during cataract removal. The design starts with a standard phaco tip of any variation, and polishes the distal end to a smooth, rounded edge. This process eliminates the sharp edges of the phaco tip and thus reduces the likeliness of damage to tissue during incidental contact of the iris or posterior capsule.
The Dewey Radius phaco tips are available in several variations, bevels, and are made for most current phaco machines.
